Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET)

Central Teacher Eligibility Test popularly known as the CTET is getting conducted by the CBSE board since 2011. The CTET test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government/government aided schools. As per the latest information CTET 2017, would be conducted online. The examination date for CTET 2017 should be announced most likely in the month of September.

The CTET has two papers – Paper I & Paper II. Anyone who is aspiring to be a teacher for classes I to V needs to appear for Paper I and anyone who is aspiring to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII needs to appear for Paper II.

All questions in the examination are multiple choice questions (MCQs) and a candidate has to score over 60% to pass this test and get the eligibility certificate. The examination duration is 2.5 hours and there is no negative marking.
